The great baritone saxophone player Pepper Adams spent his formative years in Rochester, studying music and getting his start professionally in the local jazz scene of the 1940's. Adams' biographer Gary Carner will give a talk, show rare video clips and sign copies of his book, "Pepper Adams' Joy Road," at the Bop Shop. Drummer Mike Melito, saxophonist Doug Stone, guitarist Bob Sneider, and bassist Jeff Campbell will be on hand to play Adams' music.
