The Hilton Apple Fest was founded in 1981 and has become an annual event, offering free family entertainment and celebrating the harvest season. The Apple Fest room is in the Hilton community center and serves as a meeting area for the board of directors.

The property at 40 Grove Street was re-zoned from residential to industrial in order to merge with an adjacent property on Henry Street, creating more room for Hilton’s salt facility.
