'Grimms' Mad Tales' extends casting call

by

Method Machine Performance and Art has extended its call for participants for its Rochester Fringe Festival show, "Grimms' Mad Tales," to Wednesday, September 14. The show will be performed on Friday, September 23, and Saturday, September 24, 6 p.m. each day, along Gibbs Street and on the corner of Gibbs and East Main.

"Grimms' Mad Tales" will be a street theater production involving hundreds of performers acting out selections of Fairy Tales written by the Brothers Grimm as audiences wander through the street. The community cast is asked to make their own costumes, but no audition is needed, memorization is not required, and participants only need to attend one rehearsal.

To sign up, or to find more information, go to grimmsmadtales.com by September 14. Questions can be direct to [email protected].

Method Machine produced the show "Spoon River Rochester" at the 2014 Fringe with more than 150 actors, including Mayor Lovely Warren.
