Special Event: The 449th Birthday of William Shakespeare will be celebrated with a benefit event for MuCCC (142 Atlantic Ave.) tonight at 7:30 p.m. Pay what you can and enjoy a night of scenes, speeches, songs, and sonnets by William Shakespeare, presented by The Shakespeare Players of Rochester. Music: Banjo? Check. Trumpet? Check. String bass? Washboard? Mandolin? Check. Check. And check. Kansas' own Carrie Nation & The Speakeasy will be bringing its punk bluegrass stylings to Abilene (153 Liberty Pole Way, abilenebarandlounge.com.) tonight. Music starts at 8:30 p.m., cover runs $5-$8.

Music: Exodus...obilerate! OK, that might not work, but no one can destroy the metal, and tonight all you metal fans are up for a super serving at Montage Music Hall (50 Chestnut St., themontagemusichall.com) with Exodus leading the...well, charge. Holy Grail, Aggressive Betty, Poetry in Black, Maantrik and Neighborhood Fallout will also be there, so get down early and don't miss a beat. Things kick off at 7:30 p.m., tickets run $15-$17.
